Iron Man 2: Mickey Rourke as Whiplash

Untitled Image
Think Tony Stark had it tough in 2008's smash hit "Iron Man?" Well, from the looks of Mickey Rourke as the well-equipped Whiplash, it certainly appears ol' Shellhead's got his work cut out for himself in "Iron Man 2!" "Iron Man 2" stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man. Directed once again by Jon Favreau, the film opens May 7, 2010. Now that Marvel has complete control of it's comic book characters through Marvel Studios (instead of just licensing them to other studios for their use) why is director Jon Favreau being allowed to combine [b:b2220d24d4]Whiplash [/b:b2220d24d4](Tony Scarlotti an American) and the [b:b2220d24d4]Crimson Dynamo [/b:b2220d24d4](Ivan Vanko a Russian)? It's great that we get to look forward to an IM3 but Marvel shouldn't get ahead of themselves. If this movie really flops, the general public may not want another, but if they make the focus on spying (with Spymaster, Ghost, and Black Widow, for some sex appeal), this movie could be great.

Iron Man 1 was great. I enjoyed the story line and the characters very much. I just hope that Iron Man 2 will be a good as the first. Cause if U ask me Mickey Rouke does not suit the bill. Now the Mandarin villian will be a perfect touch to any Iron Man movie.
