Get ready for more action packed toons, brought to you courtesy of Marvel and the renowned Japanimation studio, Madhouse.
Marvel and Madhouse teamed up to create four all new anime versions of classic Marvel super heroes.
Fans can check out the exclusive first glimpse of the anime Iron Man and Wolverine series at next week's San Diego Comic-Con.
The official teaser trailers will debut at the Marvel Animation Panel and be hosted by writer and multiple-Eagle Award winner Warren Ellis, who will appear to discuss writing the all new adventures of these re-imagined super heroes.
These Marvel Anime TV series are being created as a way of merging the Marvel super heroes of western culture with the bold animation tradition of Japan. The resulting product will be four visually groundbreaking anime series featuring popular super heroes redesigned and repurposed as emerging from the fabric of Japanese culture.
The series are expected to hit the airwaves on the Animax channel in Japan in spring of 2010.
The Marvel Animation Panel will run from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 24, at the San Diego Convention Center. An autograph signing with Ellis will follow the panel at Marvel’s Comic-Con booth #2429.

I gotta say this would be interesting seeing the Marvel characters in anime format.I would like to see how characters such as Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron-Man, Captain America, & Thor would look like & what kind of storyline they would getI hope it won't dissapoint, but then again this is Madhouse were talking about so those guys might pull it off
Ya, I really agree with 'ya. I like the idea of experimentation but I usually don't admire most of the Japanese anime. I mean I love the way Marvel had always projected the characters. I just hope the result won't be too much.:b1ec853b4c="Medalionsoldier"]Report: Japanese animationMe: Okay, some of their animation is darker...Report: Heroes will be getting a new design to fit Japanese cultureMe...

Please dear god don't go over the top. I understand expanding your borders, it's a smart move, but please dear GOD don't go over the top with the new designs. I have no problem with Japanimatioon, but... dear god, some of their art is just too much... At least do Wolverine like Elfen Lied. Don't screw up like Fox did and try and make that a family directed program.[/quote:b1ec853b4c]
