It's like he has all of his memories and experience while jumping around in time.[/quote:bb5c2085fe]Actually, the best way to wrap one's brain around it is to imagine the mind transfer technique Dr. Doom uses when he skips out and inhabits another body before being killed, i.e. the body still dies. Ironic that I use that example as Doom's contribution to the machinery behind Faustus, Skull et al's plan is what made it even possible, but I do not mean that he used Doom's actual mind transfer technique. It will be explained in a way eventually (I suspect/hope) but simply to understand, also remember that the Red Skull, aided/cursed by the Cosmic Cube, survived his own assassination by being mind transferred to share Lukin's body, AND that even without the Cube, he is once again transferred, this time into Zola's robotic body. There is still Red Skull's body somewhere rotting and all tests would attest to him being dead, except that his consciousness carries on. Likewise, Cap, through any test that was run, was 'confirmed' dead, with a corpse out there and all, but instead of being transferred into another body spatially he was (and is still being) transferred temporally into his own body. Hope that makes sense to everyone. I don't profess to know what tech/ability the official explanation will be based on, but I do understand what they are showing us; and two things have to be considered. 1) The special gun Sharon used is the tech that probably dispatched his essence/life energy through time. 2) The Skull's plan to retrieve Steve for whatever the rest of his foiled scheme was seemed to necessitate a blood relation of Steve, Sharon's supposed miscarried child.However the technique works, it appeared to've needed a biological anchor to retrieve his essence from the past, so I am interested to see how Sharon and friends're going to. I suspect it may be by tracking down Faustus if he extracted and kept the fetus (alive or not) unbeknown to the Skull or anyone else. I'd like them to do a little tidying up though, while they're at this, most people wonder how/why Thor could summon his spirit if Steve was actually not really dead, but the terms of existing as a disembodied essence (my term alone) was probably way similar to him being a spirit (that'd be a no-prize if this were a back page letter column, lol) and as Thor is depicted he is not all-knowing and totally versed in every afterlife detail to tell the difference. Those who read Thor and Blake's conversation in the void can attest to that. They missed the chance to tie in his MU time anniversary after his death with the media blackout Thor caused to give the moment of silence. I realized they could have synced that up if they had wanted to since Thor's fairly self contained time line, though the book came out many months ago, could've been ahead of occurences in Cap's series.
