Some skeletons just won't stay buried.

Several years ago, Moon Knight killed his archenemy, Bushman, and nearly lost his sanity in the process. Now, in VENGEANCE OF THE MOON KNIGHT #3-on sale November 11-writer Gregg Hurwitz and artist Jerome Opena will bring the villainous mercenary back from the grave to plague the Fist of Khonshu once more.

"Bushman is Moon Knight's original nemesis," Hurwitz says of his reasons for resurrecting the character at this point in the story. "He was there before Moon Knight was Moon Knight. So given that our boy has swung back into the Marvel Universe in a major way, I wanted to put him up against someone who had his number before anyone else did, who fought and vanquished him way back in the beginning."

Bushman represents one of the few villains who have continuously plagued Moon Knight, an arch-rivalry that Hurwitz ascribes to the characters' original relationship before Marc Spector first donned his ivory cowl.

"As I said, these guys were at each other's throats before the Marvel U caught wind of them," the writer reiterates. "Plus, there are no enemies greater than those made when a friendship spoils."

Bushman's return comes as the result of Norman Osborn's recently declared war against Moon Knight, and proves that the former Green Goblin will stop at nothing to bring the vigilante down for good.

"Through the Profile, [Osborn] knows that Bushman gets under Moon Knight's skin like no one else," explains Hurwitz. "Bushman has a unique vantage into the madness that plagues Moon Knight."

But does Moon Knight's newly found sanity mean that he's come to terms with what he did to Bushman?

"Not even close," warns Hurwitz, before adding that our hero's upcoming battle with Bushman "will be the biggest test he's faced."

Hurwitz remained mum as to whether either character will survive this

confrontation, instead offering one last piece of advice:

"Buckle your seatbelts. You're about to see an epic collision."

Does anyone know if there will be more issues past #4? There doesn't seem to be a moon knight coming out in Jan.

Though I wanted to see Bushman stay 'dead' for much longer than he has been, I'm still curious to see a brutal battle. We're only two issues in so far, and it's been better than all of Mike Benson's stint as writer. The coloring brings out the right touches to augment the sketches too.

Sweet, The Hood is involved. I hope Moon Knight plays into Siege along with the Avengers as well, since Moon Knight and Osborn's Thunderbolts fought before. Wouldn't want to see a good feud go to waste.
