August sales for Marvel Publishing continued its winning streak as Marvel had the top revenue market share with 48% of the market. This is in sharp contrast to DC, who was our closest competitor with 36% of the market share. This marks the 22nd straight month that Marvel held the top market share. Marvel's top comic of the month was Captain America: Reborn #2. Also, Marvel had 16 of the top 25 comics of the month. August saw the incredibly successful launch of the new Ultimate Comics line with both Ultimate Comics Spider-Man and Ultimate Comics Avengers placing in the top 11 comics. Also of note, Marvel had 9 of the top 25 collections for August.
