Are you pumped about "The Incredible Hulk" DVD?! Good! Because we've got a ton of Hulk coverage coming at you every day until the DVD and Blu-ray hit stores Tuesday, Oct. 21! Can't wait until then? Preorder the "Incredible Hulk" DVD now in a three-disc special edition, a single-disc edition or an two-disc Blu-ray edition.

Over the past six years, the Hulk has drubbed, decimated, and dominated many games of Marvel HeroClix. Even the most seasoned HeroClix players feel cold shivers run down their spines when the massive Hulk charges across the map, carving a path of destruction. Walls turn to dust at his hands and most of his enemies get pounded into jelly.

In addition to featuring more than 20 Hulk figures (five showcased in a previous article on Marvel.com), Marvel HeroClix includes not only the incredible green monster, but some of his most honorable allies and ferocious foes.

The Marvel HeroClix: Mutations and Monsters release features an insane list of Hulk figures, but today, let's talk about some of that set's characters brave enough to travel in the wake of the green behemoth. -- Jake Theis, Senior Manager of Brand Development for HeroClix

Miek

The Warbound- Miek and Korg
Hitting retailer shelves twice a year, Marvel HeroClix booster releases focus on exciting, recent storylines, and weave in the characters that shine in the spotlight of those storylines. During Mutations and Monsters, we focused on the "Planet Hulk" and "World War Hulk" storylines, and created figures of the Hulk's Warbound allies, of which my favorite are Korg and Miek.

Korg

While both fit well fighting in the arena alongside The Green Scar, Miek in particular is great piece. A literal and figurative "monster," Miek charges into battle and hits opponents quickly. His Flurry power allows him to attack twice per turn (maybe that should be six times per turn?) and Combat Reflexes allow him to quickly dodge out of the way when needed. In fact, at a recent HeroClix Nationals tournament, a player brought an entire hive of eight Mieks to a 500 point game! While he didn't win, together the combined 'arms' (get it?) of the Mieks conquered many a Spider-Man and Wolverine.

The Leader

The Leader
The polar opposite of the Hulk, The Leader is a creature of pure intellect and little physical prowess. His HeroClix dial reflects that well– some of his super-brainy powers include Psychic Blast, Mastermind, Outwit, Willpower and Mind Control. Able to take mental control of the Hulk on a lucky roll, he can send him or other opponents to attack their friends! Also, his "wild card" team ability lets him steal the abilities of other characters on the battlefield. When you tire of smashing opponents under the feet of the Hulk, playing a team based around The Leader can provide…let's just say, some mental stimulation.
Also, check out those awesome Moloids on the sculpt!

Hulkbuster

Hulkbuster
Part of the original Avengers, Iron Man and the Hulk have teamed together to bring down many bad guys. However, more often than not over the years, they have been adversaries. The wild power of the Hulk can be a perfect weapon in battle, but his gut tendencies also have the nasty habit of leaving a city in rubble.
The ultimate engineer, Tony Stark finally decided he needed a suit capable of holding its own against the Hulk. Thus, the Hulkbuster suit was born. Slower and less maneuverable than his standard armor, the Hulkbuster suit was built to absorb much more punishment. After doing dozens of amazing Iron Mans (Iron Men?) over the years, it's always great to showcase some of his unique designs in sculpt form. This bad boy is no exception!

Silver Savage

Silver Savage
HeroClix also lets us do interesting new versions of famous characters tied to specific storylines. Wielding a mace and using his trademark surfboard as a shield, the Silver Surfer was temporarily trapped in the gladiator ring on Sakaar and forced to fight the Hulk – also in the same storyline as the "Green Scar." Though he only appeared for one full issue, the awesome design on the character and the chance for players to recreate that exact battle from INCREDIBLE HULK #95 led us to find a home for this popular and playable piece.

The Maestro

Maestro
Alternate Universe versions of iconic characters are also very popular, and we were saving up the Maestro for just such a set. In this imperfect future, the Hulk has finally decided that the best way to ensure he's left alone to do what he wants is to simply conquer the world. If this means eliminating all the other heroes, so be it. This version of the Hulk replicates that fearsome power, as it can eliminate the heroes with ease on the battlefield. With a full dial of Battle Fury and Super Strength along with a lot of Impervious and Invulnerability, Maestro is ready to smash anyone who gets in his way, former friend or not.

Zzzax

Zzzax
How do you sculpt pure electricity? The answer- very carefully!
How often have you wished for a comic accurate Zzzax figure? Unlike many other toy and game lines, HeroClix has the ability to show off crazy figures from all eras of comic book lore. An interesting and unique character, the monster with the triple "z" name caps the end of our list, but still holds a place in my heart. Zzzax can wreak havoc with his giant-sized frame, and can zzzap most figures into fricassee.
How many collectors out there have needed someone to go in the "Z" slot of a figure collection? In Marvel, "X" is easily handled by the "X" team of your choice, but Zzzax holds down the "Z" fort.
Final question- How many translucent beings composed entirely of electricity can you handle?
