Yes, it's "easier" to animate than more highly detailed things.

Some reasons why you like the older one with the higher level of detail better might help but I feel like I'm torn between a rock and two fanboys.

Right, but allow the man to have his own opinion. They both are okay.

spawn_guy how dare you. HOW DARE YOU write my name wrong. realistic animation not lazy animation is the way to go! you should get ice cream!

I do have some animation background" Then you'll know why this style is fine for what it is and why "realistic" animation designs are a lousy idea.

So, to get to the point of retard24man's point, he hates cartoons for looking like cartoons. That's not stupid at all.

I think there was higher detail in the 1994 one...I do have some animation background.

you write to much. Hey this cartooon style is crap. lets get the 1994 style updated the right way! strange_guy would agree with me.

/wow yeah no animation credentials here./ No kidding. /but you can compare the artwork of 1994 spiderman with spectular spiderman and this new show from the trailer, well it is clear the artwork of now looks lazy!/ Or, random idea, I buy this book: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Animator's_Su... I find out about this principle: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keep_it_simple_stu... I call you and idiot and watch you prove me right. /did batman bold thing won awards?/ Yeah, actually, but I was talking about Batman: The Animated Series. You know, by that Bruce Timm guy. The one you and Hulkswhathisface are insulting, along with the rest of the animation industry. Timm’s opinion (which, unfair as it might objectively be, people are going to care far more about than your’s) on the supposed quality of Spider-Man 1994? twomorrows.com/comicology/articles/01tim... "I watched the pilot, the one with the Lizard. I thought that the pilot was really good, and by [the next episode] the quality had just plummeted. I didn't watch it every week, but they sent me these Academy screeners for the Emmys — They sent me a Spider-Man episode from, I think, the 2nd season, and I thought, 'Well, I haven't seen it in a long time, so I'll pop it in and see what they're up to.' And it was god-awful. 'This is the one that they're sending out for Emmy considerations?'" /bad drawing./ Says you, a guy who, as far as I know, has taken no art classes, has done no studio work and is effectively saying ‘I don’t need to understand how a medium that is not comic books work to inform my opinion!’ /the annie award sounds good for that!/ ‘It supports something I don’t like so it must be bad!’ So…what do you do when confronted with the fact it did support something you like? If the Annie Award is bad, how come John Semper Jr was awarded one for Best Individual Achivment in the Field of Writing? Speaking of Semper, his thoughts on TAS? marvelanimated.wikia.com/wiki/John_Sempe... “One thing he was not happy with the series was the animation. He felt it was choppy, sloppy, and mistake-ridden. He blamed Bob Richardson for the major continuity error in "The Price of Heroism". He said that upon seeing it he cried out in agony at the idiocy of it all.” So you shoving up that TAS still as evidence of a point that isn’t even objectively true anyway…is kinda pointless. /no need for credentials to say it stinks the artwork./ Or talk actual English, apparently. And you’re wrong on both counts. You’re free not to like how animation actually HAS to look to work. Art’s subjective after all. But you don’t have the right to troll a company’s blog, call it’s employees lazy and then insinuate that Marvel is clearly not paying them enough, in which case who are you actively trying to blame here? And to refuse to actually get some perspective on how cartoon animation works? You need a hell of a lot more than simple credentials to pull this kind of ****, buddy, and they don’t exist no matter how entitled an *@&@#& like you thinks he is. /Just compare and you see./ Let’s see. You, a couch potato hankering for nostalgia and completely oblivious to how the medium he’s talking about works, looks at a still image of his favourite childhood cartoon and decides that not only must it be the greatest thing on earth because YOU say so, but that nothing else can compare and must be lazy. Objective! Me, a guy with a passing interest in animation who owns the Animator’s Survival Kit, Batman Animated, several Disney all of which say “Don’t over do detail because it looks boring and won’t animate well” look at a still of something I couldn’t watch even halfway through and see…pretty much what the guy who made that there REALLY popular Batman cartoon saw, and even if I didn’t agree with him (which I do But I’m clearly biased, because I took the time to know what I’m talking about, right? /Spidergirl is the best lets get a cartoon of that./ If they make one they’re going to do what they have to do to actually animate it. Which will not be what you want it to be because animators don’t work like that. It isn’t how animation or it’s art works and this is far closer to how this medium actually works. Think about that. Please. /lets hope the avenger plot can save the show now./ So your trying to avoid insulting a writing team by insulting an art team that I can guarantee you worked far harder than you ever did in your life (so take that lazy crap and stick it up your ass) but like all backhanded compliments, it’s bullshit because it’s still an insult. From a guy who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Classy.

Hulkvsasia know exactly what he is talking about. Not until he shows me a degree in animation design or directing. Then he can talk all the &@&@*@ he wants because he will genuinely know what he's talking about. the artwork is lazy. And you'd know because of YOUR animation credentials. batman has the most lazy artwork there is and now spiderman going that direction. So why did the former win multiple awards across the whole of the animation industry along with countless praise from multiple professionals (AKA; Not you) and the latter was just now nominated for an Annie award? Canceled spidergirl put on mephisistos universe, destroyed marrage, no progressive stories just reboots and stuff blah blah blah random insanity. What does this have to do with anything? THIS IS BETTER ARTWORK THAN THAT! That's average even for a still image and your mastery of caps lock will not change that.

Let's keep on rocking the DCAU style, people! Of course, you were going to anyway because you know how to do your job and most of these people don't, but Hulkvsasia is an idot who thinks Heavy Metal had good art or animation, so let's keep pissing his particular breed of idot off! Put time into knowing what you're talking about, ****.

The art is diferent, but so was the spectacula spider-man art,the show was one of the best in years. So why not? Lets give it a chance.

Let's get away from the goofy Batman Justice League art people. Its done. Somebody somewhere put some time in on the art!! arrrgh! We did this in the nineties with the Avengers where they fight a lame Ultron every week. Didn't we learn anything??? Man heavy metal in 1980 has better art.

artwork looks bad and lazy if the cartoon looks like the amazing spiderman that be a shame the 1990 cartoon is better. i see no good in a company that canceled spidergirl!

hmmm, the art work is a little too abstract for my liking but then again so was the DC Batman/Superman/Justice League tv show.As long as this is back up with a good ongoing story I wait with baited breath
