I don't know realdes24man, personally I'd be bored if it was just 'true to the comics'. w/this and evolution they got to re-imagine the characters to a good degree, to me that and the plots that aren't straight interpretations of the comics (like TAS) are much more interesting and fun to watch. (the re-imaginings weren't always perfect, but some were just great [Evolution did a perfect job at cyclops's character, I liked the south american magma better than the reg one and did great at incorporating Rogue's family issues; Wolverine from this show was (to me) better than others we've seen, not because it was true to comics, but because they made him a conflicted/reluctant leader who was more responsible than previous incarnations...]).for me there were always more deviations from the comics that were good than those that were badI just hope that marvel animation being under new management doesn't break this trend and start making bad re-imagined tv/movie productions

this show needed to be closer to the comic of the xmen. artwork wasnt as good as the spiderman 1994 but it was pretty good still and plot was great. this show shouldn't have been canceled.

if you like avengers and you like this show, you have to see Next Avengersif you like this show and you like x-men you have to see*/read the Astonishing X-Men, run that's by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday*Motion Comic (the first and best one marvel's done yet)P.S. does anyone know how we can get [or even contact to beg] marvel to make another ("Dangerous" is the next in the series, and I would pay money for it, just as I did for "Gifted" [although next time I'd rather the HD and reg. options upfront I'd pay for HD, but I'm too money conscious to pay for HD when I already bought SD])

Precisely "WDH92", actually I'm pretty sure part of it was that their animation department head changed (), and another reason was that ratings were lower cause [in the case of x-men] it released out of the US first (I myself watched about half the season online before it premiered in the states; then I watched it again:).All the marvel stuff I've watched written by Greg Johnson and co. (X-men: evolution, this, and especially Next Avengers to name a few) have been unreasonably good "kid" shows that are not just for kids.I hope they make more cartoons like these (actually in the near future it looks like dc has a good one coming out, I'll watch it, but I like the marvel characters [esp. x-men better]).

This series was so great, I don't know why Marvel cancelled it, Oh wait, I do. It is because Marvel sucks when it comes to cartoons. This and Spectacular Spidey were both great new series for a new generation as well as older fans and they just cut them and to replace them with an Avengers series(don't get me wrong I'm an Avengers fan) that looks like it was drawn by a 13 year old. Why don't they just stick with the good series till its end?

I loved this series, I don't understand why it got canceled (apparently I'm part of the less vocal group who thinks X-men evolution was far better then the previous animated and wolverine and the x-men was even better). I do know that now that there's the whole season on dvd I'll buy it (I see no point to buying a few episodes on a dvd while I wait for the season). did marvel actually finish any episodes for season 2 and if so will we ever get to see them? if not, why not ? (I hope the new animes are actually as good or better, and if it's anime will steve blum be reprising his role?)

Didnt Canada get to see season two?

So... I guess that since this is being marketed as the complete series bluray that there won't be a season two with the AoA universe...*sigh*
