A large part of Season 2 of "The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!" focuses on the ongoing battle between two warring intergalactic alien empires: The Kree and the Skrulls. As it turns out, they’ve been battling it out for a while--centuries, even--and it just so happens that Earth is their next battleground. The Avengers have been warned as much by the time travelling conqueror, Kang, and Captain Mar-Vell, a representative of the Kree Navy who was sent to Earth to study both the planet and its inhabitants. Mar-Vell is a friend of Carol Danvers, and in fact, disobeyed orders to save her life, so we know that maybe not all Kree are bad. But it’s only a matter of time before their armies arrive. Both S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers are our planet’s last defense, and they’re going to need to work together in order to stop the coming invasion. Because it’s definitely coming.

THE KREE

The Kree on "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes!"

The massive Kree Empire spans a thousand star systems, and its military might is perhaps unrivaled in the galaxy. Kree civilization is highly militaristic and scientifically advanced. They are a race born and bred to be perfect soldiers and brilliant scientists. Their armor technology has even advanced to a point where it has an almost organic ability to form weapons out of thin-air.

The Kree Empire is ruled by a sort of hive-mind, a techno-organic repository for their society’s collective knowledge known as the "Supreme Intelligence." Individual Kree resemble humans almost exactly, with the exception of their blue skin.

It is said that the Kree have spent so many centuries trying to perfect their species into the ultimate warrior race, that they have lost the ability to evolve naturally. One of the attributes that has attracted the Kree’s attention to Earth is the incredible diversity and adaptability of super powers that has begun to spring up within humans.

RONAN THE ACCUSER

Ronan the Accuser on "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes!"

The Kree known as “Ronan” serves his people as the Supreme Accuser of the Kree Empire. He is charged with upholding all Kree law and justice throughout the galaxy as the Supreme Intelligence sees fit. He is judge, jury, and executioner rolled into one, and once he has made a verdict, it is final.

In addition to his incredible strength and sharp reasoning skills, Ronan possesses a device known as “The Universal Weapon” which dispenses cosmic energy according to its wielder’s will. Even within the scope of incalculable firepower possessed by the massive Kree navy, the Universal Weapon is revered as one of the most powerful and dangerous weapons in the Kree arsenal.

THE SKRULLS

The Skrulls on "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes!"

The Skrulls are a stark contrast to their brazen, rigid, militaristic enemies, the Kree. After centuries of war with their nemeses, during which time their homeworld of Skrullos was destroyed, the Skrulls have learned to adapt and evolve in order to remain alive. Where the Kree prefer the shock and awe of a direct assault, the Skrulls’ inferior numbers and technology have forced them to become more creative in their approach to conflict.

In their natural state, the Skrulls have green skin, ribbed chins, and pointy ears. They’re devious and stealthy, and most notably they have developed the ability to shapeshift--to take on the voice and appearance of anyone they come across. They prefer guerilla tactics over outright attacks, and are masters of espionage and subterfuge. Recent information indicates that they may already have agents on Earth--but who they are, and what they look like, remains a mystery.

Now the most interesting question is:From when is Captain America a skrull? I just hope that in season 2 they get to say that!
