Will this program be available on DVD?  I would love to have a copy for teaching purposes as I have a class on Literature of the Graphic Word that I teach and this would be outstanding research material.

Does Marvel Studios currently hold the television rights to either Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four or X-Men?  What I mean to ask is, is it legally possible for any characters from these properties to appear in, for example, "Agents of SHIELD"?

I hope they make it available on Hulu after it airs or Youtube, just make sure that those Marvel fans who don't have television (in my case neither a TV set or service) can see it.

@kp2123  Iron Man was the first film for the Marvel Cinematic Universe because it was the first to be made solely by Marvel Studios. New Line Cinema distributed Blade. The film rights for Blade has returned to Marvel but they have not announced what they are going to do with him or Ghost Rider. Besides, there were other movie made based off of Marvel characters long before Blade. Nick Fury and Captain America being examples of films made before Blade.

@marvelous19999  I agree with u! :) I sucks that Marvel is making a reboot when they didn't even finish the ending of Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer.

@ericrivers The problem AoS has had to deal with regard to scheduling is that in January they had to work around the Super Bowl and in February they had to work around the Olympics. AoS isn't the only show that hasn't been airing episodes on ABC even Tim Allen's show Last Man Standing (which I recommend) hasn't been on. Luckily, March sees the return of Agents of SHIELD, Once Upon a Time, it's Wonderland spin-off and Last Man Standing.

@ericriversSeriously, 2-4 weeks in between each new episode is so frustrating. ABC has had the worse scheduling with AoS.

Now, if they air a repeat AoS episode right after this special, there is the potential for the show to get new fans. So if they do that, and then have a new episode the week after, I'll be happy. But if they take another 2-4 week break, I think they'll have lost a good opportunity to gain viewers.

@msorrentino @ericriversABC aired 5 new episodes in a row in September/October, ran a rerun and then ran 4 new episodes in a row in November. They then showed a lone new episode in December, after showing a rerun the week before. The ratings for the December episode were significantly down from the last new episode in November, probably because people thought AoS had already started its Christmas break and weren't looking for a new episode.

In January, they showed two new episodes in a row, followed by two weeks of reruns before a single new episode in February before the Olympics. I understand AoS taking a break for the Olympics (appreciate it, even). But taking a two week break before showing a single episode before taking a break for the Olympics? Not so much.

And here it looks like they are doing it again. Two episodes followed by a break (for the special). Couldn't they have shown the special first, then let us have 4-5 new episodes in a row? Plus, it sounds like the last nine episodes of this season are part of the same arc. If AoS does get a boost from the special (and I hope it does), starting the new viewers 2 episodes in on a 9-episode arc does not seem like a good idea.

@siryn_x61 @echoverse@msorrentino@ericriversI had forgotten about that, and you are right that they couldn't air a new episode the week before the February episode. Still think it would have made more sense to air the January episodes a week later so the February episode wasn't quite so lonesome.

@echoverse @msorrentino @ericrivers  Just one note on what you said echoverse, on January 28th there wasn't much choice due to the President's State of the Union address pre-empting a lot of stuff.
