I'm loving how the character designs got a revamp in this season.  Peter looks really great now.  I just wish he had brown eyes like in the comics.  It just seems wrong to have a blue-eyed Peter Parker.

Also, I'm very excited for the Miles episode.  I love Miles.  I think he's adorable. <3

I just can't get into miles Being Spiderman. Spiderman will always be Peter Parker. Steve Rogers will always be kept in America. Carol Danvers will always be mS Marvel.

I just don't understand why they can't simply invent a new hero, I don't really care about the color or race just make up a new one .where is the originality?

Ahh wow, this is exciting stuff! Love the seasons so far and Marvel exploring this Spider-Verse concept has me pretty pumped. Mostly looking forward to Spidey 2099, but man I wish this video was longer! I'd really like to hear more from Miles.

Also kinda freaking out over the improved animation quality! (in comparison to Season 1, I'm sitting here all googly eyed!!)

Miles Morales isn't my thing. I can't wait for a clip of Spidey 2099 clip to be released, cause I will be all over that! Bring on the Mexican super heroes! :D

I think Glover's voice is a bit too deep to for Miles. I mean, Miles is only 13, you'd think that he'd have a relatively higher voice.

Sorry, the auto correction sucks. Steve Rogers will always be captain America.

@raidoactive Let me stop you right there. PETER PARKER is white. And he is Spider-Man. Miles Morales is black and Latino. And he is also Spider-Man. These are two different people. In Miles' universe, Peter DIED. And Miles took up his MANTLE. If you are a comics fan, I assume you get the concept of a Legacy Hero? Different person, same hero (name)? Like how Steve Rogers isn't the only person to have been Captain America. And this is way before Sam was announced. Bucky was Cap for awhile as were at least two other guys. There are currently TWO Hawkeyes: Clint Barton (the original) and Kate Bishop (his mentee/protege). This isn't exactly complicated.

@raidoactive @allanhowls @milesmoralez The "truth," as you put it, is that you're complaining about an established character that's been around for a few years now. That's what you can't handle. For whatever reason, it just hurts your brain that a black and/or hispanic person might be a superhero; you're only interested if they look like you.

Well, gee, imagine if people of other genders or ethnicities (with perfectly good money to spend) felt the same way? Does it really bother you that much that you have to share the stage with others, and that "white male" is not the same as either "neutral" or "correct?"

@raidoactive @allanhowls @milesmoralez In the comics, maybe. In the MCU, he's not. Cope.

Are you this torqued about Nick Fury (who's being handled by Samuel L Jackson far better than any white actor would have)?

"...are you a millionaire?. I am."

How is that even remotely relevant?  Do you also date a supermodel? Does your mom think you're cool? Are you earning internet points with empty boasting?

Let's assume for a moment you actually are wealthy:  you've made it abundantly clear that money does not equal intelligence or rational argument.

@raidoactive @allanhowls @milesmoralez Did you read the article on the site today about how Dazzler was originally based on Grace Jones, but Filmworks wanted her to be white?  Is that equally as bad in your eyes, or is it only bad when "the blacks" (an execrably offensive and overly-broad term...do "the whites" all think and act as one unit?) adapt things to *their* culture?

      allanhowls
      allanhowls member

@raidoactive @allanhowls @milesmoralez That's rich: as if white people haven't spent the last few centuries rewriting the history books to make themselves look good and to downplay people of color as being marginalized at best, or savages at worst.

Again, I ask you, why do you refer to "the blacks" as if they are a hive mind? Do you believe all white people think, act and feel as one unit? If not, why do you assume that another group of human beings does so, and that if they're doing it, it must automatically be wrong? I mean, how dare they borrow a little something from the giant pile of cultural stuff we white folks have spent centuries accumulating? Poor, pitiful us.

@raidoactive @allanhowls @milesmoralez I can afford them fine. You, however, can't afford to keep dodging the question:  Is it OK or not to have whitened up Dazzler, who was based on a black disco star?

Are you this upset about Nick Fury in the MCU?

Were you this upset about Hal Jordan --> John Stewart?

Why do you demand different standards for things speaking to an ethnic audience versus a white one?

Please stop dodging the questions, and answer what has been repeatedly put to you.
