One of the most celebrated fighting games in history returns for another round! Nine years after taking the arcade gaming scene by storm and over six years after making its original home console debut, "Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes" will soon juggle-combo its way onto Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade and PS3's PSN!

In anticipation of the "MvC2"s next-gen debut, we're bringing you daily showdown spotlights pitting a Marvel character against a Capcom character. Each entry features official game artwork, character bios and polls to determine which universe really brings the heat.

Enjoy today's Juggernaut vs. Strider Hiryu spotlight, make sure to vote in the poll below, visit the official "Marvel vs. Capcom 2" site and come back on Monday for our next throwdown, right here on Marvel.com!

Fighter Name: Juggernaut

Real Name: Cain Marko

Universe: Marvel, X-Men

First Appearance: X-MEN #12

Marvel/Capcom Game Appearances: "X-Men: Children of the Atom," "X-Men vs. Streetfighter," "Marvel vs. Capcom 2"

Citizenship: USA

Brief Bio: Fueled by the mystical energies of the crimson gem of Cytorrak, Cain Marko is capable of destruction on a massive scale. No known force on Earth can stop the Juggernaut once he starts moving, and his familiar battle cry "can't stop the Juggernaut" couldn't be more true. Abused as a child and jealous of his father's love for his step-brother Charles Xavier, leader of the X-Men, Cain turned to a life of crime. The Juggernaut has faced off against Xavier's X-Men and been defeated at nearly every encounter. After a change of heart he joined the team for a brief stint, but it didn't last. Admittedly not too big in the brains department, and unsure of whether or not he wants to play on the side of angels or devils, the Juggernaut has more than enough power to take out any obstacle in his path.

Powers: The crimson gem of Cytorrak grants Cain a variety of abilities including super strength, endurance, and durability. He doesn't need to eat or breathe and cannot be stopped once moving in a certain direction.

Special Moves: Juggernaut Punch, Earthquake, Body Splash, Power Up, Head Crush

Quote: "Of course I've won, nothing can stop the Juggernaut."

Fighter Name: Strider

Real Name: Strider Hiryu

Universe: Capcom, Strider

First Appearance: Strider (Arcade)

Marvel/Capcom Game Appearances: "Marvel vs. Capcom," "Marvel vs. Capcom 2"

Citizenship: Unknown

Brief Bio: Strider Hiryu's past is a mystery wrapped up in an enigma. That's to say we don't know much about it. We do know that he comes from a time far in our future and that he is a part of the Strider ninja clan, a group of expert martial artists with a taste for technology. Strider's mission was to destroy Grand Master Meio, a devious tyrant who built a space station between the Earth and the moon in an attempt to conquer the world. Strider, using his awesome ninja skills, defeated Meio and saved the world. Now he's ready to test his skills against the greatest fighters the universe has ever known.

Powers: Strider uses a Cypher (razor sharp sword) much like a tonfa and can call on mechanical animals to help him fight.

Special Moves: Ame-no-Murakano, Excalibur, Gram, Vajra, Kabe Haritsuki, Warp, Formation A, B, C, Ouroboros, Ragnarkok, Legion

Quote: "Who can see the future? Those who create it."
