Universe: Marvel, Fantastic Four
First Appearance: FANTASTIC FOUR #5
Real Name: Victor von Doom
Brief Bio: A genius born to gypsies in Latveria, the haughty and arrogant Victor von Doom eventually travelled to America, meeting a young Reed Richards at Empire State University. Unfortunately, an overly ambitious experiment and a slight miscalculation resulted in an explosion that scarred Doom’s face. Expelled for his brash behavior, Doom travelled the world, studying the mystic arts and fanning his hatred for Reed Richards, whom he blames for his failed experiment. He has become one of the world’s most feared super villains, an expert magician and a dictator without compare. Doctor Doom is a menace to the world and, at times, to all of creation!
Abilities: Doctor Doom sports a super high-tech battle suit of his own design. It can sustain him in the vacuum of space and withstand the crushing depths of the ocean. It comes equipped with a variety of conventional and mystical wardings and weapons, but it is his genius-level intellect that makes him so dangerous.
Play Style: In previous Vs. titles Doctor Doom was never a huge threat on point, but was invaluable as an assist for just about any team in MvC2. His patented keep-away game has made it back to MvC3: insert Photon Array hyper here. He's still able to throw out his Molecular Shield as an assist, which will help any rushdown team, but Doom is meant to control space from a distance. His ray gun locks down jumpers, Photon Shot covers great vertical and horizontal range if a little slow, and Plasma Beam is a very reliable beam special that comes out fast. Doom would just rather not get his hands dirty fighting such inferior combatants.

Universe: Capcom, Resident Evil
First Appearance: "Resident Evil"
Real Name: Jill Valentine
Brief Bio: Jill Valentine worked with Chris Redfield as a member of Raccoon City’s S.T.A.R.S. squad until it was all but destroyed, betrayed by Wesker in the Spencer Mansion. She managed to survive the Tyrant attack only to be plagued by an even more sinister and terrifying Tyrant upgrade named Nemesis. Wesker then takes control of the heroine and forces her to fight her long time ally and friend Chris Redfield before he and his partner can free her from Wesker’s grip. Cut the girl a break already!
Abilities: Jill is a normal human, but performs at a peak-human level. She is a master marksman with a variety of firearms and is a skilled hand-to-hand fighter.
Play Style: Jill will be released as Downloadable Content four weeks after the launch of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on February 15.
