Not even just "thinking of" that is exactly what the storyline for the game is intended to do. In situations where there is so strong an argument for both sides (despite dramatic tendency in literature for what-can-go-wrong-will i.e. registration will end up with someone taking their secrets and exploiting them) they are going with the end logic that these are noble heroes on both sides so instead of definitively having the storyline end with pro or anti winning, instead make it a moot point by pitting them all against a greater threat, so in the end the hero community doesn't remain split down the middle (unless they revisit and cliffhang that on the second major plot's resolution).Fits right in with classic tropes:- super team/hero X meets super team/hero Y; mistaken identities or motives lead to a fight before the discovery of the real threat leads to a team up. Don't know if the developers were analyzing comicdom that deeply, but it is great that they seem to 'get' comics so well.

[quote@djstickylee [quote@LastCheesyPuff Venom, my ugly symbiotic friend, you shall be my final team member. Now, if only they made She-hulk playable ^^.^^ :shehulk:
watch the video closely... right after Cap & Ironman shake hands She-Hulk is standing right behind Ironman. She looks playable to me. I was also surprised to see Hurcules & Dethlok in the video... pretty obscure charactors for a video game. makes me excited to see who all the charactors will be. The only thing I am worried about is not being able to have Cap & Ironman on a team together. I hate heros fighting other heros. I know it's Civil War and all that, but I am old school... i like bashing bad guys.
Well you can as the game starts off with the secret war storyline. And it has been said in an interview that the developers are thinking of a way to get the heroes back together at the end of the game.http://e3.gamespot.com/video/6211386/

[quote@theshock621 This game looks amazing! It should be a great play on PS3...Now, I might have missed it or maybe my screen was fuzzy but I could have sworn I saw Patriot from Young Avengers thrashing some dude...that would be pretty cool to have a Young Avengers team with Cap leading the way!Go Anti-Registration Team!!!!!!!!!
That was Patriot getting at one of the guards. This game is looking more and more impressive each video. I can't wait.

[quote@lonewriter this makes me want to buy a game system just so I can play this. I'm just not sure what system to buy.
Get the PS3...unless you want to have to return your 360 because of shoddy hardware. I fell for the 360's price tag and wound up getting the PS3 after my 360 bit the dust.

That doesn't make her (and definitely not them) playable. Those are between play movies that advance the story based on Civil War, so many characters are written into those types of scenes as they would have allied themselves with Iron Man or Captain America - just like Civil War. It doesn't mean Herc and She-Hulk may not be playable characters (doubt it for Herc especially, but both are at least doable as skins for generic strength characters), but those close-up cut scenes, especially of such smooth quality compared to the ones that look like in-game play are not to be mistaken for the playable roster. Hope that didn't unreasonably get your hopes up Dj, but folks can discern between in-game movie footage and the actual recording of game play if they pay enough attention. Jerky movements, calculated paths, impact effects and locked-on-target tracking by opponents are the best ways to distinguish.Oh, and I feel you on the oldschool hero vs. villain preference, but there is a huge camp of 'who would win in a fight between hero A and hero B?' people out there, and Civil War fit right into giving them the ultimate expression of that fantasy (since in most cases that can never be definitively answered).

Personally I would choose a PS3 because yo get so much more than just a console. You get Blu-Ray, a decent sized Hard drive you can easily swap out for a bigger one. Free online play. And some Great games, Resistance, Infamous, Final Fantasy XIV.The Xbox is a nice cheap quick way to get into the game but not in the long run when you think of the other advantages the PS3 offer.I'd start saving foe the PS3 now and there are some great deals to be had

Go XBOX 360!!!!!!!! Definitely worth the money. On another note, this game better be as good if not better than the first :thor:
