Super-Skrull
Universe
: Marvel, Fantastic Four
First Appearance
: FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) #18
Real Name
: Kl’rt
Alignment
: Villain
Brief Bio
: After the Fantastic Four defeated the first Skrull invasion force, the interstellar shapeshifters decided to fight fire with fire. Literally. The Skrull Kl’rt was genetically modified and given the combined powers of Marvel’s First Family in the hope that he would overpower them and conquer Earth for the Skrull empire. However, despite his vaunted abilities, Super-Skrull has never managed to defeat the Fantastic Four decisively. He remains a brutal and devious foe, clashing time and time again with the FF, and remains a significant threat to Earth and our entire solar system.
Powers
: The Super-Skrull possesses the strength and rocky exterior of the Thing, the pyrokinetic abilities of the Human Torch, the elastic abilities of Mr. Fantastic and the ability to generate force fields and render himself invisible like, you guessed it, the Invisible Woman!
Play Style
: Skrull is a jack-of-all-trades. He can rush you down, pulp you from mid-screen with his Tenderizer and snipe you out of the air from almost a full screen away with his unblockable command grab. Quick normals, great specials and the ability to OTG into Level 1 and Level 3 hyper combos make Super-Skrull a force to be reckoned with.

Viewtiful Joe character art from "Marvel vs. Capcom 3"

Viewtiful Joe
Universe:
Capcom, Viewtiful Joe
First Appearance:
“Viewtiful Joe" 2003
Real Name:
Joe
Alignment:
Hero
Brief Bio:  Joe was just a normal guy who loved movies until an evil film villain reached through his TV and stole his girlfriend Silvia. To save his one true love, Joe had to transform from regular old run-of-the-mill couch potato to crazy awesome fighting machine! Given a V-Watch by legendary action hero Captain Blue, Joe set out to rescue Silvia and all of Movieland! Clichéd villains beware; things are about to get red hot! Henshin-a-go-go, baby!
Abilities: As an average joe, he’s all but powerless. But when he activates his V-Watch, Viewtiful Joe can slow time, slow down his enemies and move in fast-forward at blinding speeds.
Play Style: Joe is a pixie character: low on health, big on speed and combos. He doesn’t do much damage and his diminutive limbs lack reach, but his Red Hot Kick gets him in fast. Once he’s in close he can slow his enemies' movement speed to a crawl with one hyper and pound on them in fast-forward with another. Also, being one of the shortest characters in the game, he ducks under quite a few normal attacks, forcing enemies to adapt their battle plan accordingly.

Well, instead of having punch and kick buttons, there in now three main buttons, light, medium, and heavy, and special. The first three do their respected strengths, and the special controls other functions. This is like the system in Tatsunuko Vs. Capcom for the Wii.

Why do they have a character showcase video if its only that character in it for 1/4th the time and hes getting his butt kicked?. For a showcase vid they should give a clear example of that guys moves, and have him win, instead of just any old fight that happens to have them in it. Also "AT"(attack) and "SM"(special move?), why arent the moves listed with iether hp, lp, hk, lk, am i to believe that any kick or punch can activate those moves ???

Remember, guys, to think in a fighting game sense. If this was like how comics do it, Super Skrull would totally win, due to his all powerful attacks, while Joe only has a time watch and a bit of muscle. But in a fighting game, those things don't matter. It all depends on character balance, match-ups and the player's skill. Read the play styles, and then judge the outcome And, Ekie, Capcom likes weird characters, so that's why M.O.D.O.K. is in it, and they wanted Sentinel to look like he did in Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. And, since they didn't think Black Panther was very interesting, nor did they think he would be good in a fighting game, so they didn't have him.

Man, Viewtiful Joe is like, the best, man! I mean, Supa' Skrull is pretty awesome, but Joe has a freakin' Voomarang. Supa' Skrull ain't got a chance.
