Shuma-Gorath
First Appearance
: MARVEL PREMIERE #5
Real Name
: Shuma-Gorath
Alignment
: Villain
Brief Bio
: Shuma-Gorath is a perennial foe of the Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange, but has existed for millennia and was worshipped as a god during the Hyborian Age. He commands blood sacrifices from his followers and seeks to return to power in our realm, often through manipulation and deceit, piggybacking within the minds and bodies of inter-dimensional travelers. Luckily, Doctor Strange has always managed to banish Shuma-Gorath to his home dimension, but if he ever gains a foothold on Earth it will take every hero and villain to send him back into the darkness.
Powers
: A being of nearly limitless power, Shuma-Gorath can do pretty much anything he wants.  He can warp reality, teleport between dimensions, shapeshift, drain magical energy from his enemies, and so much more.
Play Style
: Shuma-Gorath will be released as Downloadable Content four weeks after the launch of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on February 15.

Chris Redfield character art from "Marvel vs. Capcom 3"

Chris Redfield
Universe
: Capcom, Resident Evil
First Appearance
: “Resident Evil”
Real Name
: Chris Redfield
Alignment
: Hero
Brief Bio
: Chris was part of the Raccoon City S.T.A.R.S. squad before the team was betrayed by Wesker and left as cannon fodder for the nightmares contained within the Spencer Mansion. Chris survived the Raccoon City disaster and his life since then has been inextricably connected with Wesker’s and the Umbrella Corporation. He’s made it his life's mission to shut them both down--for good! He even went so far as to help found a U.N. task force equipped to deal with bio-terrorist threats.
Abilities
: While Chris doesn’t have any super-human powers, he is in peak physical condition. He is also a master marksman with a range of firearms and explosives, is a deadly hand-to-hand combatant and excels when he's holding a blade.
Play Style
: Chris is all about controlling space, and he does his best work from mid-screen. Gun Fire, Grenade Toss, his Flamethrower and the Shotgun keep enemies zoned out and locked down all while dealing chip damage. When his land mines explode they leave a smoldering flame on the ground that forces enemies to take to the sky if they want to rush down.  Also, Combination Punch is super easy to combo into and gives you a free Grenade Launcher hyper for big damage. Chris is the epitome of a "run and gun" character.

An elder god versus a dude with a gun? Really? How about Mephisto versus Hello Kitty next?

I do think Shuma would OWN Chris easily, I mean Shuma IS a Super Natural millenarium interdimensional being, with god like powers... and Chris is well... and army guy.

HEY GUYS! If you agree Goto the capcom suggestion box(www.capcom-unity.com/go/suggestion/box) and vote for this Suggestion. If you cant find it search for ones created this week!Ghost Rider and Black Panther are not "Too punchy'Seth recently said in an inverview that these characters missed the final cut because they were "too punchy". That is just not the case for either charcter. Ghost rider has various hellfire powers and chains he could use, Plus his Bike that could be applied to a Super animation only. Black Panther has Energy Daggers for range or combat, A Vibranium costume for defensive and offensive options, access to satalite's and any Tech that you can think of at his disposal. Come'on Capcom, I know your more creative then that. If you can come up with moves to make X-23 and She-hulk different from their male counterparts then I know (and I have faith) that you can do much better for these Two ICONIC characters. If you have faith Capcom can do the same then VOTE this up! Ghost Rider and Panther for DLC!

Dude seriously? Chris is a well trained human army guy. No matter what malformation of science you fight, the mystic powers Shuma wields would own Chris in seconds.

Shuma-Gorath is a mystical entity more powerful than DORMAMMU. I know it doesn't look that way, but it's truth.

Shuma-Gorath is powerfull but Chris has managed a lot of monstrers like him and Chris always comes out victorius is like he was inmortal.

Yeah, Shuma! He's a stupid character comic wise, but in Marvel he's great
