Marvel/Capcom Game Appearances: "Marvel vs. Capcom 2"

Brief Bio: Anakaris is an ancient time-hopping Egyptian pharaoh whose prime concern is the safety of his people. Stirred from his not-so-eternal rest by the coming of Pyron, a fiendish extraterrestrial with a thirst for combat and destruction, Anakaris set out with the other Darkstalkers to defeat the mad conqueror. With Pyron vanquished, Anakaris moved his people to another dimension so they would be free and safe from harm.
Powers: Anakaris can not only morph his own body, he transforms his enemies into harmless doll-like creatures, drop sarcophagi on their heads and slam them around in his bandages.
Special Moves: Idle Hands, Pharaoh's Curse, Coffin Drop, Cobra Blow, Pharaoh's Wrath, Super Cobra Rush, Sarcophagus Holocaust, Pharaoh's Illusion
Quote: "You are not worthy to clean my tomb!"

Fighter Name: Omega Red

Universe: Marvel, X-Men
First Appearance: X-MEN #4
Marvel/Capcom Game Appearances: "X-Men: Children of the Atom," "Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter," "Marvel vs. Capcom 2"

Brief Bio: Experimented on by the Russian KGB, Arkady Gregorivich was given super strength and outfitted with  carbondanium coils that extend from his wrists. Combined with his natural mutant ability to secrete deadly pheromones, the coils extend, enhance and elevate Red's already formidable killing skills. Holding grudges against Wolverine and Sabretooth, Omega Red stands as one of the few brawlers who can take them both on, at the same time and come out on top. Rest assured, Omega Red is not to be trifled with.
Powers: Omega Red secretes lethal pheromones through his pores, possesses super strength and two nigh-indestructible carbondanium coils in his wrists that he uses to ensnare and crush his enemies.
Special Moves: Carbondanium Coil, Coil Throw, Energy Drain, Death Factor, Omega Strike, Omega Destroyer
Quote: "You should feel honored to be destroyed by me."

Seems the game gonna be more interesting now to play with new characters. Bored to play with same characters. These must have new features so that the game becomes enjoyable otherwise there addition of one more character only and nothing more.Travel Health Insurance

big red is elite in this game.

cant see death spores effecting the undead. cant see much of anything working here reall. Anarkaris weild shapeshifting, reach extension, and high levl magic. Anakaris ftw. (yes im playing it comic, not in game, in the game i pwnd Anarkaris with ORed everytime)

is it just me or does Anakaris seem an awful lot like apocalypse? i mean how many overly super powered, shape shifting Egyptians do we need?

Oh... Yes... GREAT BATTLE!Off the top, I would give Omega Red this match based on his level of defense compared to Anakaris; Anakaris does NOT take hits well. But the reason Anakaris was given light defense is because, if he had any more stamina, he'd be nearly unstoppable. His combos are LIGHTNING fast. His special moves are decent: an unblockable throw, sarcophaguses that fall anywhere at anytime, a paralysis move, and a snake-strike move that's VERY quick. And overall, Anakaris actually has better assists than Omega Red as well. But let's talk about Omega for a sec... He's the one character in the game (with the exception of Rogue in some cases) who can regenerate health MID-FIGHT by stealing the opponent's health. He can also steal energy MID-FIGHT in like manner. If not that, he can simply grab and chuck someone. Or he can grab and slam. Or grab and slam TWICE IN A ROW. Bottom line, those coils of his are DEVASTATING. The only drawback is that they come out a little slowly, and a quick player can block or dodge them with little hassle... most of the time.Did I tell you my favorite thing about the coils? It's called OMEGA DESTROYER, where Omega Red takes up the entire screen in a rampage of coil drama! Now, it's actually easy to block, so it's not the "ultimate" move... unless you catch an ASSIST partner in it. I LOVE anticipating an assist, leaping between the assist characted and the lead fighter, and pulling an Omega Destroyer to corner the main character on one side and deal UNHOLY damage to the assistant on the other. THAT'S what makes Omega Red a real monster in this game!Anakaris does contend, however, with Hyper Moves like Super Cobra Rush and Sarcophagus Holocaust. But to mimic Omega Red's dominance, he also has Pharoah's Illusion, where he disappears into the background and let's his hands do the talking by smacking up both sides of the screen! A very flashy move, and hard to block due to crossovers.A last thing about Omega Red: his Omega Strike. At first, this kick move seems slow and disadvantageous. WRONG!! 1. It combos EASILY. (If you don't believe me, try this two-hit monster-damage combo: HK, QCF+LK. Omega Strike can actually CANCEL the HK, letting you either fake-out your opponent, or steal a HUGE amount of health in a split second!) 2. Omega Red can RETRACT IT! If you hit B+K after starting this move, Omega Red goes RIGHT BACK TO WHERE HE STARTED. So, if you pull off the move and sense a counter-attack, you can RENEGE AND JUMP RIGHT BACK ON DEFENSE! 3. Omega Red can CANCEL the move. Instead of pressing B+K, press D+K, and instead of going back, Omega Red will simply draw in his coils and stay wherever he is. This comes in handy when you Omega Strike up into the air and you want to switch to his coil-grab series.All-in-all, though it will probably be a quick match, it will also probably be a spectacular match. But due to stamina issues, I have to award this to Omega Red.Omega Red for the win, 8-times-out-of-10.
