Fighter Name: Silver Samurai
Real Name: Kenuichio Harada
Universe: Marvel, X-Men
First Appearance: DAREDEVIL #111
Marvel/Capcom Game Appearances: "X-Men: Children of the Atom," "Marvel vs. Capcom 2"
Citizenship: Japan
Brief Bio: Kenuichio Harada is a self-styled samurai warrior who has played both hero and villain. Gifted with the unique ability to create tachyon fields that enable his katana to slice through anything but adamantium, he is a threat to anyone staring down the end of his blade. The Silver Samurai has been a bodyguard, mercenary, crime boss and even the leader of Japan’s first super hero team, Big Hero 6, but has spent more time giving in to his darker impulses than working for good. He has clashed violently with Wolverine over the years and the two warriors' battles are nothing short of epic. However evil the Samurai acts though, he is honorable to those who have earned his respect. If you have offended him on the other hand, running is probably your best option.
Powers: The Silver Samurai surrounds his katana with a tachyon field, making it sharp enough to slice through everything but adamantium. He is also a master of Kenjutsu and martial arts with a specialty in edged weapons.
Special Moves: Shuriken, Hyaku Sakuchi, Chou Shuriken, Touki Ikazuchi, Raimenken, Touki Honoo, Infernal Spiral, Touki Mizu, Glacial Spike,
Quote: "Your lack of training is obvious to all."

Fighter Name: Sonson
Real Name: Sonson
Universe: Capcom, Sonson
First Appearance: "Marvel vs. Capcom 2"
Marvel/Capcom Game Appearances: "Marvel vs. Capcom 2"
Citizenship: Unknown
Brief Bio: Sonson is the granddaughter of Sonson, the monkey-man hero from the arcade game of the same name. She has all of the abilities of her grandfather including his elongating staff and flying nimbus, along with a whole host of new abilities. It seems that Sonson doesn't appreciate Abyss destroying the Marvel and Capcom universes and will fight to ensure their survival. If that means defeating a nearly invincible foe, so be it.
Powers: Sonson can transform into a gigantic fire-breathing ape, float on clouds, create tiny copies of herself, pummel people with her size-changing bo staff and cook up her enemies in a stew.
Special Moves: Fuusetsuzan, Shenbu, Seitenregeki, Kingin No Hisago, Tenchi Tsuukan, Hyper En'ou, POW!

Hmmm, another doosey of a match here! Let me start by saying: SILVER SAMURAI SHOULD RULE THIS FIGHT. Why? Because he's got WAY more abilities than the ones listed here. And it's all about his elemental sword...1. He can call upon fire and boost his offensive power WAY up. Of course that means, he can make short work of anyone. The downside: anyone can make short work of him as well. Because his DEFENSE decreases.2. He can call upon lightning and boost his speed. All of a sudden, as someone once said, he becomes another Strider-like character, and even gains the ability to use his super shuriken throw in mid-air!3. He can call upon ice and gain a defensive boost. He slows down a little, but he can take decent hits.4. He can call upon ice AGAIN and gain SUPER ARMOR. Still slow, but he can shake off most hits with no problem.5. He can call upon ice AGAIN and gain HYPER ARMOR! He takes almost no damage and doesn't flinch when hit. He's a MONSTER I TELL YA!BUT, let's talk about this cutie named Sonson...She's fast and agile. Her moves combo nicely. Nice damage. Low defense. Entertaining to watch. She's a fighter. But it takes more than that to beat Silver Samurai. How can she do it??Simple. Her "POW" hyper. If Silver Samurai gets caught by this, it's not gonna matter how high his defense is: he's gonna lose a CHUNK of health. So Sonson can put up quite a fight against this cat using that move to even the score with him! Also, for you Dragonball Z fans, Sonson is basically another derivative of the Chinese Monkey King legend. In short... she's like Goku... COMPLETE WITH POWER POLE AND ABILITY TO CHANGE INTO ENRAGED APE! And BOTH of those hypers do BEAUCOUP damage... if they connect. And THAT'S where I'd say the biggest gap lies: Silver Samurai's targeting is SWEET. His moves cover a lot of the screen, and once they hit, they HURT. And even upon missing, with the exception of his fire ability, he usually can afford to take some punishment. Sonson? Not hardly. As it goes with most sprites, the rule is 'execute or die'. And even her "POW" move is hard to land because it's so easy to see coming. Therefore, based on the larger margin of error, I'd give the match to Silver Samurai.Sammy for the win, 8-out-of-10.

[quote@moogerfooger22 Seriously. No one cares. Obviously the only people that are going to vote for capcom charaters are the kids who don't read marvel comics. Can we move on?
I completely agree with u. And those who dont read Marvel shouldnt be on this site. :hawkeye:

Popularity contest or comparison of in-game fighting? I think it's the latter.

These match ups are really weird to say the least.
