Black Racer joined the fourth incarnation of the Serpent Squad, who later merged with Sidewinder's Serpent Societyin order to allow Viper to overthrow Sidewinder as leader. Black Racer stood by her, but Viper eventually deserted the Serpent Society. Black Racer remained in their service under their new leader Cobra.
