Blindspot can selectively remove, restore, or implant memories within a human mind of any experience or time-span, ranging from days to years, and she can psionically access others' memories at will. She is immune to virtually any form of memory alteration.

Several years ago, Blindspot, a mutant barely out of her teens, performed espionage work for the mutant mercenary Mystique, and became best friends with Mystique's foster daughter Rogue, to whose psyche-absorbing touch Blindspot was immune. On a mission for the Japanese nationalist Tomo Yoshida, the tree women were joined by the hot-headed Sunfire in raiding the base of the megalomaniac scientist Lord Dark Wind for information on the indestructible metal Adamantium. They were unable to obtain the sought-after data, but took their failure in stride, with Blindspot preserving the occasion with a photograph. Months later Mystique ended their partnership, and Blindspot, as was her habit whenever parting ways with someone, removed memories of her existence from all involved parties, something that proved particularly troubling to her when it came to Rogue. Blindspot spent the next few years stealing a fortune, but she always protected herself by removing people's memories of her, she was desperately lonely. She always regretted ending her deep friendship with Rogue, who subsequently served in Mystique's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, fighting the X-Men
