Mexican Special Forces were trained by Taskmaster to arrest then take over the operations of various Mexican drug cartels, and the Don of the Dead made his way to the top of the heap. With the police in his back pocket and other criminals too afraid to act against him, the Don was an unstoppable force until Taskmaster stumbled upon his base while searching for the Org. The Don wanted to claim the bounty the Org placed on Taskmaster, but Taskmaster escaped only to be pursued by the Don and his men. He challenged Taskmaster to a duel on a bus roof and was skewered when his opponent copied his fighting style and used it against him. The Don of the Dead was unmasked and claimed to know Taskmaster when they were both S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, but a blown tire caused the bus to swerve violently, throwing him from the moving vehicle and the Don fell over a cliff.
