Fashima was a demon from an unnamed region of Hell, she along with five other demons were granted access to Earth when several Hell-lords:Mephisto, Satan, Satannish, and Thog, plotted to invade the Earthly plane by distracting Doctor Strange while they broke through the barriers that separated the Earth from Hell. Their intent was to gain ultimate power and control over humanity. To fulfill this fiendish plot they allowed Avarrish, Fashima, Hyppokri, Puishannt, and Unnthinnk, to have more sway over mankind. It was later discovered that the demon Maya was Mephisto in disguise. This demonic gathering would come to be known as the Six-Fingered Hand.

When the brothers Ozzie and Felix Palmer sought fame, Fashima granted it to them in exchange for their promises to serve her. Ozzie soon became the famous rock-n-roll star Asmodeus Jones with Felix as his manager, and used an image of a Six Fingered Hand as his sigil. In Detroit, Michigan at an Asmodeus Jones concert, Fanshima manifested herself above the crowd, in preparation for her finial merging with Ozzie. The Defenders, however exposed Fashima's plot and teamed with the Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze/Zarathos), a demonically-possessed super hero who'd been hired on to Jones' road crew, and overwhelmed Ozzie with power, driving Fashima out of him. Fashima claimed Felix's soul as her own, however, and took him to hell.
