Vampires disguised as a sheriff and deputy angered the wrong Spirit of Vengeance when they decided to kidnap two hapless victims. A trucker Ghost Rider with the call sign Devil Rig gave chase in his hellfire semi-trailer truck. He almost backed off when he spotted a vampire roadblock, but his ally Hell-Driver convinced Devil Rig to send those vampires back to Hell where they belong. The powerful Hellfire truck of Devil Rig would eventually find more targets within the realm of Heaven. Kid Blackheart wanted the privilege of destroying Heaven in his father's name and unleashed a pack of evildoers to overpower the city. Devil Rig plowed his way through the masses, leaving many of their remains in his truck’s grill.
