High in the skies over Germany during World War I, young American pilots gave up their lives in service of their country. When these poor souls cried out for vengeance, the Ghost Flyer was there, and he took no prisoners. Using a biplane of his own, this Spirit of Vengeance soared into battle taking on every challenger - possibly including the Red Baron himself. Further exploits of this otherwise mysterious character reside within the mind of the living library of the Ghost Rider, Sara, the new Caretaker. Even without his plane the Ghost Flyer was a formidable opponent as the would-be conqueror of Heaven, Zadkiel, would find out. Ghost Flyer provided much needed back-up to two other Ghost Riders, Johnny Blaze and Daniel Ketch, and the end result was the defeat of a traitorous angel.
