Modeled after a wrathful deity of Tibetan Buddhism, this Spirit of Vengeance was tailored to the customs of the part of the world he was stationed in. Unfortunately,
Johnny Blaze learned of his existence a bit too late.
Daniel Ketch, a former Spirit of Vengeance himself, who now works as a servant for the rogue angel,
Zadkiel, is finding other Ghost Rider’s in order to kill them, so Zadkiel can take their power as his own. This particular Ghost Rider, also known to the people he protected as Khrag 'Thung – among many other names – performed one last service to them before his passing. A cruel general and his soldiers were about to dish out severe punishment to the innocent villagers for actions committed by the Ghost Rider, but it was Khrag 'Thung who taught the wicked a lesson. Making quick work of the soldiers, and showing the general his Penance Stare, which he calls the Stare of a Thousand Buddhas, this Ghost Rider ensured the village would not be getting any more visits from these men any time soon. Blaze and the new
Caretaker mourned briefly for the man who name was Nima. Though his physical form no longer walked the
Earth, Nima was alive and well in
Heaven. When Blaze and Ketch needed help in opposing the orchestrator of his death, Nima fell into line and helped defeat Zadkiel. Nima also fought the forces of
Hell when they stormed Heaven, led by
Kid Blackheart.
