Professor Hastings is an experienced adventurer and archeologist, in her exploits she has chased vampires with Quincy Harker and his band. While pursuing the streets of New York shortly after the murder of Donald J. Walsh, she was contacted by Johnny Blaze and Ghost Rider (Daniel Ketch). They informed her that she and several others were the next targets of the demon queen Lilith and her demonic children the Lilin. Professor Hastings would soon ally herself with Victoria Montesi and Interpol officer Sam Buchanan to from the Darkhold Redeemers.
