The daughter of the sea god Manannan and the faerie Fand, young Niamh was given the magical horse Enbarr by her father upon reaching adulthood, she made her home in her lands in Otherworld, but often used water as pathways to travel to Earth; mortals came to believe she lived beneath the waters of Dozmary Pool (in modern-day Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, United Kingdom), where she frequently manifested.
