Murderous Lion desired the affections of the Bride of Nine Spiders and arranged a contest of one thousand potential suitors. He emerged victorious, and with his tribute of broken bones, flesh and blood, he expected the object of his attentions to be his. However, this was not to be. The Bride of Nine Spiders insulted Murderous Lion, saying his competition was unworthy of him, and this only made him a fool in her eyes for thinking he could dupe her so easily. Her words cut deep, and soon, the two were locked in a battle to the death. Although Murderous Lion fought hard, and possibly fatally wounded the Bride of Nine Spiders, it was he who lost that day, and his heart was fed to her eight-legged soldiers.
