Nebulos manipulated Doctor Strange into using the Staff of Polar Power to extract the evil from Baron Mordo, after Dr. Strange completed his mission Nebulos commanded the staff to return to him. He threatened to unleash the concentrated evil of the staff, but was quickly confronted by the Living Tribunal for attempting to upset the cosmic balance of good and evil within the universe. A phenomenal confrontation followed and the Living Tribunal destroyed the planet Perilous, resulting in Nebulos being buried in the planet's remains.
