The son of the Titan Lapetus and the sea nymph Clymene, Prometheus is a Titan personifying forethought and intelligence. In ancient times, he was punished by Zeus for stealing fire from the gods and giving it to mortals. Prometheus later assisted the Avengers when Zeus accused them of injuring Hercules.
