Little is known about Redstone's background prior to his encounter with Nighthawk other than that he was born and lived on a Native American reservation somewhere in the Southwest. Nighthawk recruited Redstone into the Redeemers and sent him to infiltrate the Squadron Supreme. Redstone served with the Squadron for about a month before the Redeemers openly opposed the Squadron. Redstone fought Hyperion and nearly killed him. Later when the Nth Man almost caused the destruction of the reality of Earth-712 the former Squadron members banded together, and boarded a shuttle headed to space in order to fight the crisis. When the shuttle entered space Redstone began to suffer detrimental effects due to his separation from the Earth. Doctor Spectrum attempted to fly him back to Earth, but Redstone died before they entered the Earth's atmosphere.
