Origin
Emerged from the bio-pool (The Mighty Thor #475, 1994)

Riger was a member of the Godpack, which was another attempt by the High Evolutionary, to create a group of Immortal beings to serve him. After the Evolutionary pulled the small man from the bio-pool he gave him the name Riger, which was once used by the Asgardian, Heimdall. Riger was smaller and psychically weaker than the other members of the Godpack, yet he proved himself to be immensely valuable time and time again. Riger stood tall against the Man-Beast and the New-Men when they attacked the Evolutionary on Mount Wundagore. Riger was able to use his extraordinary talents to find the wedding band of Sigyn in the cavern where a construct of Donald Blake was discovered, which led to Thor and Blitziana traveling to Asgard seeking answers from the Loki on his involvement in Blake's disappearance. Riger also detected the deception of Malekith who was hiding among the Godpack as Jane Foster, after turning Kurse lose from Hela' realm to kill Thor.
