Mathew Riseman assumed leadership of the Purifiers after Reverand William Stryker was slain. He then led an attack on a S.H.I.E.L.D. base and stole the head of Bastion. He had retained the remanes of the Nimrod Sentinal. He conected the head of Bastion to the Nimron body and activated Bastion once again. His church was attacked by the Wolverine led X-Force. Unbeknownst to them Riseman had captured Wolfsbane and swore to kill her if they did not surrender. X-23 lepped into action and a shot was fired.
