Attempted to collect a bounty on Iron Fist’s head, but was defeated (Marvel Premiere #16, 1974)

When Harold Meachum placed a bounty of ten thousand dollars on the head of Danny Rand, a man calling himself Scythe came to collect. Rand, the living weapon of the mystical city of K'un-Lun, had just fought off a gang of thugs also looking to benefit from the bounty when Scythe introduced himself. The battle between Rand and Scythe was short but furious, and even though Scythe appeared close to victory, he fell to his knees and begged for mercy when his weapon was destroyed by a strike of Danny’s iron fist. It was then Rand introduced himself as Iron Fist, and Scythe revealed the name of the man who placed the contract on Danny’s life. Iron Fist left Scythe in an alley, defeated and humiliated.
