Significant Issues
Warlock was captured on "The Great Divide", where he fought Captain Autolycus, and he absorbed his soul, and the soul of Judge Kray-tor into Soulworld while on trial on Homeworld. Soon he fell into despair, and Pip met Gamora in a Homeworld bar, Warlock forced himself to go mad in order to escape the Church's reconditioning. Now alongside Pip & Gamora, they battled the Magus (Strange Tales #179-181, 1975); Warlock’s past self arrived to absorb his soul into Soulworld, Warlock found himself in idyllic Soulworld with Gamora, Pip, Autolycus, Kray-tor & others (Avengers Annual #7, 1977); Silver Surfer & Drax the Destroyer were sent to Soulworld by Thanos, Warlock sent them out again but realized he must join struggle against Thanos (Silver Surfer #46-48, 1991); Upon leaving Soulworld Warlock, Gamora & Pip inhabited bodies of people recently killed in Earth car crash, Thanos erased half universe’s population (Infinity Gauntlet #1, 1991); Warlock returned to Soulworld, became one with the gem. (Infinity Gauntlet #3-6, 1991).
