Shortly before her death, Gwen Stacy secretly gave birth to twins, Sarah Stacy and her brother Gabriel. Sarah and her brother were born with enhanced strength and rapid aging rate inherited from their father, Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin, who was superhumanly augmented after imbibing the experimental "Goblin serum." With their mother murdered by their own father, the twins were raised in France under Norman's care. Norman often visited them as their "uncle" and told them a fake story of their birth and father, whom Osborn claimed was Peter Parker otherwise known as Spider-Man. Seeking revenge, Sarah and Gabriel began training, while continuing to age rapidly.
