Originally wielded by a person only called "the Old Man," he got bored of its powers and tried to dispose of it, only to end up in failure and causing the White Event. The mark was eventually passed down to Ken Connell and he, too, got bored of its powers as well. When Quasar traveled to Earth, she convinced Connell to pass the mark onto her.
