The Order #1 (2007)

A former US Marine, Fields was taken hostage while delivering humanitarian aid in East Africa. After his release, he returned to the US and protested the inaccurate public coverage of his capture, culminating in him getting shot in the spine and rendered paraplegic during a Memorial protest. He was recruited for the Order and regained the use of his legs after his nervous system intermingled with that of Aralune.
