Don't know everything about Deathlok, and my writing is horrid, so I need some help here.
Deathlok is a cyborg built from the knowledge gleaned from an alternate timeline. Effectively, Roxxon Corporation retooled and updated the system to "modern" standards. He was then built by Cybertek, a division of Roxxon, and was going to be leased as a weapon. However, on the first test run by a guy named John Kelly, the original 616 'Lok, his brain was fried by the computer. A pacifist named Michael Collins was later dumped into the machine as a last minute replacement. However, He overran the computer and turned into a hero.
The character has been in limbo since his first series ended and the Spider-man Limited series that followed. If you’re looking for the Character more recently, he has been reintroduced by Dwayne McDuffie (One of this Deathlok's original creators) in the Limited Series BEYOND.--MadJackLogan 05:18, 26 September 2006 (EDT)
