West Coast Avengers

Why do the Great Lakes Avengers get their own page, while the West Coast Avengers are confined to a few comments in the main Avengers page? --abcdefghijklmno 23:26, 3 August 2006 (EDT)

The reason for this is because the Great Lakes Avengers were never part of the Avengers. They just used the name "Avengers" in thier name in an un-official way. The West Coast Avengers however, were part of the Avengers and just a sub-division of the team. Just like X-Men: Blue Team (from UNCANNY X-MEN comics) and X-Men: Gold Team (from X-MEN comics) were both part of the X-Men group. --DragynWulf 06:11, 4 August 2006 (EDT)

Thanks. That also explains why there aren't X-Men: Blue/Gold profiles. Also, in this case, wouldn't the X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, and Astonishing X-Men be just like the old X-Men blue and gold? --abcdefghijklmno 21:07, 4 August 2006 (EDT)

Yep, it is just like it. The same team, just doing different missions. There are exceptions to teams like X-Force for example. There were three different versions of that team all three with different goals and members (X-Force, X-Force (M-Branch) and X-Force/X-Statix) so they would get different profiles. --DragynWulf 01:02, 5 August 2006 (EDT)
