Question about Mjolnir
I was reading some of the older Thor issues and came across something odd about Mjolnir. In issue #137 page 3 it is spelled Mjolner, issue #138 page 5 it is spelled Mjolnar, issue #139 page 3 it is back to Mjolner. Everyone seems to spell it Mjolnir nowadays, even marveldatabase.com. Can I put a "Note:" in the profile with this info or just leave it out? I don't think they would be considered significant issues and there is no "other spellings" section in the item box. - --mickeys4life 02:40, 20 July 2007 (EDT)
Well in reality Mjolner is not so wrong. Mjollner is one of the real adaptations of Mjolnir word. I think those are writing mistakes like Mjolnir is from Norge mytology like all Asgardians and I can imagine that for American's it could be little odd word to grasp. Marvel wants to be accurate with is spelling as Mjolnir is the right word for it and it might have been just a writing mistake made by the writer of those specific books. I don't think it needs a note because it just those few appearance. --Wezqu 03:34, 20 July 2007 (EDT)
Maybe...thats just three times that I have noticed. I plan on checking all the old issues. It would be interesting to see if it was spelled like that from the beginning and switched over at a later date. - --mickeys4life 20:10, 20 July 2007 (EDT)
Well knock yourself out if it more frequent than that then you could add it as a note to the page. Happy hunting. --Wezqu 20:19, 20 July 2007 (EDT)
