Taskmaster possesses photographic reflexes, which enables him to watch another person’s physical movements and duplicate them without practice, no matter how complex. This ability is only limited by the fact that he does not possess superhuman strength or other superhuman attributes.

The man who would become the Taskmaster first demonstrated unusual abilities during childhood. After watching a cowboy show on television, he found himself able to duplicate the sophisticated rope tricks he had just watched the cowboy perform. Psychiatrists, called in at the mother's request, termed the boy's rare ability "Photographic Reflexes". It is unknown when Taskmaster became a member of the Avengers, however it is known that he was among the group of Avengers that were brought together by the Destiny Force to battle in the Destiny War. During the battle, Taskmaster was shot by Kang. It is unknown if he survived or not.
