A member of the Mutant Liberation Front, Thumbelina loyally served Stryfe and was often seen at his side. Her mutant ability to shrink her body made her a valuable asset to the group, and allowed for her to participate in missions requiring espionage. However, she was much less ruthless than her cohorts, and was often teased by the other members for her weight. She is also very close to her brother Slab, a member of the Nasty Boys. When the X-Men raided the Mutant Liberation Front's headquarters, Thumbelina and Slab were frozen and defeated by Iceman, apparently taken into custody. Much later, Thumbelina resurfaced, following orders from an alternate version of Domino who had taken the guise of Stryfe.
