Starting in the 8th century AD, a Cold War between the Tuatha De Danaan and the Asgardians began when the Norse Vikings who worshiped the Asgardians began plundering villages in the British Isles. This enmity lasted for centuries until, in modern times, the Tuatha De Danaan and the Asgardians joined forces to defeat Seth, the Egyptian god of evil.

Later, the Tuatha De Danaan gods Cernunnos, Morrigan and Taranis empowered the apprentice sorcerer Kyllian Kell Boddicker by bonding a portion of their perspective powers to his psyche in exchange for reciting an oath to combat evil. Granting him the Oak Staff of the Druids, Boddicker studied under the Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Stephen Strange. He battled and defeated Centurion, champion of Olympian goddess Bellona. As Wildpride he later reluctantly became affiliated with Arthurian mystic Modred the Mystic and attack Dr. Strange.
