Unus is a mutant with the power to generate an invisible psionic field around himself. This field can deflect and stop objects or projectiles. He can also use this field to move or push people or things. He can mentally control the field and make it as thick or thin as he wishes. He can even open a portion of the field to grab items or hit people. The limits of the field have not yet been determined.

Unus worked for Apocalypse and was sent into Old New York City to search for remaining humans how lived there and to destroy them. While on a mission for Apocalypse he encountered a human girl and Bishop, who resisted him. He then ordered his Infinites to destroy both the girl and Bishop when the X-Men showed up and attacked the Infinites and Unus. During the battle Unus managed to sneak up on Magneto with a plastic gun and threatened to kill him. However before he could kill Magneto, Iceman managed to freeze him before he could get his shield up. Iceman then smashed the frozen Unus into pieces, killing him.
