Marvel Universe

User talk:Gmanem

One of our strictest rules on this site is that we do not allow plagiarism, the copying of other people's work and websites onto this site. Not only are other site's often inaccurate or downright wrong, but also plagiarism is both rude and can cause legal problems. I have repeatedly deleted articles you have posted which are plagiarised from Wikipedia, the Marvel Database, and now Marvel Appendix. I have asked you not to do this on multiple occasions. To date, you have ignored me. If you continue to do so, I will arrange for you to be banned from posting here. We welcome your contributions to the site, BUT they must be YOUR contributions, not the work of someone else passed off as your own. Stuart Vandal 08:36, 15 February 2007 (CST), moderator

You have repeatedly tried to upload profiles plagiarised from a number of sites. More than one moderator has requested you stop doing this. Plagiarising, or the copying of another person's work and passing it off as your own, is wrong. It is rude. It is illegal. It amounts to theft. Today, after repeated warnings, you again did this, and to make it worse, one of the entries you posted was MY WORK, taken from another site I contribute to. Since you seem unable to listen to warnings, I am giving you one final chance to modify your behaviour. Fail to respond, or post another pilfered entry, and I will have you banned from this site. No further warnings. Stuart Vandal 10:58, 21 February 2007 (CST), moderator

gmanem, you just posted another 11 (11!) profiles that you've plagiarized from Wikipedia and the Marvel Appendix. Not even edited profiles - straight copy & pastes! As such, I've made a request to the sysop that you be banned permanently from Marvel.com. We don't tolerate thieves here. Submit your own work or don't submit at all. --ComiX-Fan 06:29, 2 March 2007 (EST)
