The woman known only as Vienna is ranked as one of the world's most proficient covert operatives. She is so good that even S.H.I.E.L.D. has been unable to uncover her real identity or origin. What is known is that she has had a relatively long, illustrious career as a freelance international spy, and that her primary motivation is money (she has been known to switch allegiances in mid-assignment when a better offer is made). Her work has brought her into conflict with Sir Denis Nayland Smith, Shang-Chi, Heroes For Hire, and the Daughters of the Dragon.

Shortly after enactment of the Superhuman Registration Act (SHRA), the new, government sanctioned Heroes For Hire bounty hunting team founded by Misty Knight and Coleen Wing paid Vienna a large sum of money, to help them lure several unregistered super-villains into a trap. Acting according to plan, Vienna used her underworld contacts to get in touch with the super-villains Bloodshed, Equinox, Ghost Maker, Goldbug, Grindhouse, Kogar, Shadow Slasher, and Shockwave, promising to provide them with passports, driver licensees and new identities in order to avoid the SHRA, while at her warehouse hideout. However, before the transactions were complete, the Heroes For Hire rushedt into the warehouse, and arrested all the villains present, with the exception of Bloodshed, who managed to avoid capture. Vienna gladly accepted her money after the villains were handed over to the authorities.

There is no current intelligence leading to Vienna's whereabouts at this time.
