Voyager has the power to create portals that he and others can travel through. He can also generate vortexes that he uses offensively to suck his opponents into. It had been revealed that when uses his power, he needs time to replenish his strength and power. He can fly and survive in the cold vacuum of space without life support.

Very little is known about Voyager's past before he was seen with the Shi'ar Imperial Guard battling the cosmic Avenger known as Quasar alongside his teammates Moondancer and Solar Wind. The trio was eventually defeated by Quasar and later captured by the enigmatic Stranger. The trio gained their freedom when the cosmic being known as Overmind traveled to the Stranger's the Laboratory World and freed many of the captives. Voyager and he friends returned to the Imperial Guard.
