Powers
White Light possessed the power to mesmerize any who would gaze upon him when using his powers. Once a person was in his thrall, White Light could induce sleep, implant suggestions into the person’s mind, make them see what he wanted them to see, and even cause memory loss much like a hypnotist does to his subjects. The amount of individuals White Light could control at one time has yet to be revealed. Some of White Light’s powers even extended to animals, but his illusions would not fool their keen senses.

White Light displayed his talent to fashion complex devices out of ordinary materials when he made a gadget to amplify Idiot’s natural tracking abilities

Significant Issues
Sent on a mission by his master, but failed to acquire the target (Iceman #1, 1984), Cast out of existence by Oblivion (Iceman #2, 1985)

White Light and his partner, the Idiot, were sent on a mission by their master, Oblivion, to bring his daughter back to him. They were sent to a time and place unfamiliar to them, but Idiot’s natural tracking abilities soon led them to their prey. Their target, a girl named Marge, knew they were sent to capture her and fled while Idiot’s senses became confused when he was in the presence of the mutant, Iceman. Not knowing which of the two beings of power to claim, White Light and Idiot assumed Iceman was their target when he changed into his ice form right in front of them and attacked, mistaking them for mutant-hunters. A brief scuffle, one toppled house, and a premature victory celebration by Iceman, led to White Light’s demise at the hands of his merciless master. White Light was blinked out of existence for his failure.
