Lorina Dodson was born into a very affluent family that desired to provide her with the best education possible. She was secluded and sheltered from the outside world, as a result she sought refuge, by reading fictional novels. Her favorite choice was Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland." She took particular interest in the character of the White Rabbit and adopted its strange and irrational behavior. This caused many to believe that she was in-fact insane.
